This entry discusses the hardest thing in this world to understand.
Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person
Love: sexual passion or desire
Above or two dictionary definitions of love, but is either one of them correct? There are over twenty-five different definitions for love in the dictionary. With so much written on love, you would think that people would have a mental grasp on it by now. However, people don't realize that that is impossible. The words love should not even be in dictionaries. The mind has no way of attaining a full comprehension of love. The mind is not even in control when love is present. Love passes control over to the heart.
Observe any man who is infected with the disease of love. He could have once been rational and organized before finding his beloved, but once he found him/her, he lost control. This man now thinks irrationally, is constantly distracted, and is fritting away money and time on one single person. Does he wish to do otherwise? Of course not. When the heart loves, the heart is generous. It gives all that is able to be given. All selfless thoughts and feelings are banished from the entire body.
Love causes a chain reaction of kindness in people. Someone who loves gives all they can. The one who is being loved is loving back. Once that person returns all the love they were orignally given, they give it to everyone else they care for. Those people are now infected with feelings of warmth and being wanted. They most likely spread the feeling to others through random acts of kindness and generosity. It's not long until love and happiness is spread to people all across the world.
So if love creates a domino effect of positivity, then why is the world filled with such immense amounts of hate and sorrow? It's because love is one of the root causes of pain. Sometimes love leads to insanity. Once people have love, they fear losing it. More often than not, love is lost at one point or another, and when it is the ones at loss are devastated. They experience so much pain and anguish, they turn to anger, and lash out at others who are completely innocent. They are jealous of others' happiness, and find comfort in taking it away.
Love is beautiful, but love is also hideious. It creates endless cycles of kindness and care. However it also causes depression and anger once it's gone. No one is to take responsibility in how we feel, it depends on our situation and how love is affecting us in that moment. When love is working in our favor, the world is a gorgeous place that we are so happy to live in. When it works against us, the world is ugly and displeasing in every sense of our minds.
Love is the root of all evil, but love is the root of all merriment. So what are we to do? Banish it from our lives? Or welcome it with open arms? Regardless of what decision you make, you will experience pain, but so long as you are open to love, you will always recieve bliss in the end.
