As a kid (before I knew any better) my brother and I would "play" with bugs. What we really did was burn them, feed small ones to large ones, open them up from their stomachs, etc. Looking back on that now, I feel bad. I am strongly against animal cruelty of all sorts, but especially when people are killing creatures for the sheer pleasure of it. Yeah I know they are just bugs, but imagine if this behavior would have progressed. Could have moved up to birds and lizards, and so forth from there. Parents, please don't let your children "play" with bugs. It's downright mean, and just plain gross!
