Day 11 and on.

Anna was emitted into a mental facility for an unpredicted time span of a long-term stay. She stayed there, sharing a bunk with another patient who was stricken with silence. Her parents visited frequently, but were never able to get their traumatized daughter to utter a single syllable. Broken and hopeless, her parents ceased visiting within the first year. Anna lived on in solitude, never speaking to nurses, relatives, friends, or even her only companion: her silent roommate. She frequented suicide attempts, none of which were successful. The cruel hospital would not allow Anna her own death, the one thing that could possibly give her back her happiness.
